Driftwood Rocking Dragon
This driftwood dragon was a part of the happy 90th to the community hall and the 101st memorial/birthday bash for "One Bubble".
The wooden dragon was made out of found beach wood, just prior to the event. Then it was adorned by volunteers; with bottle caps, paint, and other fun decorative touches.
After this event, the Rocking Dragon was auctioned off at the local store. The dragon currently lives, and can be seen, at the beautiful Guemes Island Resort.
In conjunction with this event, local artist Bill Mitchell made and donated a lovely dragon mural to be hung outside the hall. No stranger to dragons, Mitchell had created three previous. However, this was his first on Guemes.
