About the Artist
I am an artist living and working on Guemes Island, among the San Juan Islands, in the Pacific Northwest. Working from my home studio allows me to spend quality time with my wife and two daughters, which provides support and adds to the creative process.

Combining materials provided by nature and using my background in log construction, I began sculpting and building furniture. There has been a need for the marriage between rustic furniture and fine art. Wood found on the beach has been an inspiration, helping me to create an art form to fill this void. The life found in a piece of wood can speak volumes and move mountains.
I'm currently involved as a member of SAT (Skagit Artists Together) with the county in a park bench project. I am also working with the city of Anacortes on a similar project.

My work can be seen at Rhodes Stringfellow Fine Art Gallery; Cannon Beach, on the Oregon Coast.
